Misery Island, Salem, MA

I took a boat ride with a friend this past weekend to Misery Island, out in the middle of Salem Sound.  It was just the perfect day, warm but no humidity, and plentiful sunshine. We had a two hour window to hike and take photos before the boat picked us up again.

It was a lovely way to spend a late summer day.

Salem, MA, Maritime Festival

I headed out to the festival yesterday with my meetup group.  It was hot and sunny most of the morning, and we talked to park rangers,  sailors, and Coast Guardsmen.  Lots of history and fun.

Salem Seaside Garden Stroll

I went to Salem this past weekend with a couple of Lynn friends for the Seaside Garden Stroll.  We saw lovely grounds and great water views. It was a warm day, so we were grateful for the home owners that had set out lemonade.
